Launch of the BlockBots PowerUps collection

Following the successful launch of BlockBots, we are delighted to announce the launch of the PowerUps collection on the Polygon network. PowerUps are unique in-game items created for the BlockBots collection. They are the weapons and wearables that you can equip your BlockBot with. The IND token will be a critical part of this collection and the BlockBouts game (set to launch in Q1 2022).

While we have limited the Gen 1 BlockBots collection to 2,969 NFTs, we will not restrict the PowerUps collection to that number. That means each BlockBot owner can have multiple PowerUps in their wallet.

Next week, we will be airdropping PowerUps to all the BlockBot owners. Amongst these, the wallets which have IND tokens will get 2x PowerUps.

The PowerUps collection will launch in 2 phases

• Phase 1 — Launch of the PowerUps collection and minting with Matic tokens (next week)
• Phase 2 — Launch of a P2P marketplace dedicated to the PowerUps where they can be traded using IND tokens (mid-December)

Important points regarding the PowerUps marketplace

1. The P2P marketplace specific to the PowerUps collection will use IND tokens on Polygon for buying and selling the PowerUps
2. While the PowerUps will also be available on OpenSea, to incentivise the users to utilize our platform, there will be 0% fees. That’s right, NO royalty or platform fees for the sellers (as opposed to the approximately 7.5% fees on Opensea)
3. This platform will use the industry-standard Wyvern v3 protocol (used by Opensea and many other NFT marketplaces)

8. Along with the fantastic Voxel artists that we are already working with, we have also hired a talented Game Designer. He will be helping us with the gameplay and the game mechanics.

IND tokens in the BlockBots universe

As we have mentioned before, the IND token is an integral part of the BlockBots ecosystem. Here are a few examples of how IND token has been used and will be used for the upcoming features -

• IND holders, DRA members were given a preference for the whitelisting during the BlockBots launch
• The BlockBots Dashboard website (showcase) has a feature where you can change the name of your BlockBot. For this, the user needs to spend 100 IND tokens, and 30% of those IND tokens are burned
• We have reached out to the Polygon team to map the IND token on the Polygon network!
  - Once this is done, we will have IND tokens on both the ETH chain AND the Polygon Chain
  - We will provide liquidity on Polygon Sushiswap to the IND/MATIC pair
  - This will NOT reduce the total liquidity of the tokens in the market
• 2x PowerUps airdrop for BlockBots owners who ALSO hold IND tokens
• The PowerUps marketplace will exclusively use IND tokens for all activity
• IND tokens can also be used in the BlockBouts game to enter some Premium matches and unlock other cool features. The prize pools of the Premium matches will be denominated in IND tokens
  - Please note — this feature might not be available immediately after launching the game. The game launch will happen in stages, including public alpha, public beta, and so forth
